Commercial Lines Underwriter / Broker (E&S)
Job Summary Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter/Broker specializing in Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines to join a dynamic team. Compensation Package
Base Salary Range:
$75,000 – $125,000
Bonus:
Sales incentive bonus plan

Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and grow a book of business in the commercial lines E&S market.
Manage agency relationships and serve as the primary client contact.
Underwrite, rate, quote, and bind new and renewal business, including complex risks.
Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive new business production.
Submit underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and leadership as needed.
Monitor and manage key performance metrics, including hit ratio, retention, growth, and loss ratio.
Train and mentor assistant and associate underwriters to support team development.
Qualifications/Requirements
Experience:
Minimum of 3+ years in commercial lines underwriting or brokerage, with a strong preference for E&S experience.
Licenses/Designations:
Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred.
CPCU, CIC, or similar professional designations are highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in standard agency management systems.
Lines of Business Expertise:
Experience with complex, middle-market, and E&S risks.
