Commercial Lines Underwriter / Broker (E&S)
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter/Broker specializing in Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines to join a dynamic and growing team. Compensation Package
Base Salary Range: $75,000 – $115,000
Bonus: Sales incentive bonus plan

Travel: Minimal to moderate (agency visits and relationship building)
Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and grow a book of business in the commercial lines E&S market.
Manage agency relationships and act as the primary client contact.
Rate, quote, and bind risks for new and renewal business, focusing on complex accounts.
Develop and execute marketing plans to drive growth and achieve performance metrics, including hit ratio, retention, growth, and loss ratio.
Submit underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and leadership as needed.
Train and mentor assistant and associate underwriters to foster team development.
Qualifications / Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in commercial lines underwriting or brokerage, with a strong preference for E&S experience.
Licenses / Designations:
Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred.
CPCU, CIC, or similar professional designations are highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with standard agency management systems; no specific system required.
Lines of Business Expertise: Strong knowledge of commercial lines, with a focus on complex, middle-market, and E&S risks.
