
Account Manager
Remote Legal Staff, California, MO, United States
RemoteLegalStaff connects law firms and legal departments with highly qualified remote legal professionals. We are growing fast and looking for an Account Manager who thrives in a client-facing environment and takes genuine ownership of the relationships they manage.
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for clients throughout their journey with us — guiding them through the placement process, managing candidate interactions, and ensuring every client feels well taken care of at every step. You will work closely with our recruiting team internally and represent RemoteLegalStaff externally with professionalism and care.
This is a high-ownership, detail-oriented role where the quality of your work directly shapes how clients experience RemoteLegalStaff. We have high expectations for how our clients are treated and we need someone who holds themselves to the same standard.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing the relationship from onboarding through ongoing engagement Run client-facing calls including kickoffs, candidate reviews, interviews, and check-ins with professionalism and clarity Coordinate closely with our recruiting team to ensure candidates are the right fit before presenting them to clients Manage multiple active client accounts simultaneously, keeping things organized and moving without details slipping Set clear expectations with clients, surface issues early, and proactively resolve problems before they escalaye Facilitate smooth handoffs and transitions, ensuring clients always feel informed and supported Build strong long-term relationships that drive retention and client satisfaction What We’re Looking For
Excellent spoken and written English — you will be representing RemoteLegalStaff directly with U.S.-based legal clients and communication quality is non-negotiable Available to work U.S. business hours with a start time between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM PST Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail — managing multiple accounts means nothing can slip, ever 2+ years in a client-facing role — account management, client success, staffing, or similar Strong communicator who can run a professional call, manage expectations, and write clearly and concisely Good judgment on fit and quality — you are not just moving things through a pipeline, you are making real decisions Collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally with internal teams Able to work well under pressure — client situations can move fast and you need to stay composed and effective when they do Confident and poised when speaking with attorneys and legal professionals — our clients are lawyers and you need to hold your own in those conversations Self-starter who manages their own workload without needing heavy oversight Experience in legal, staffing, or professional services is a plus but not required What Success Looks Like
In your first 90 days, you will have managed client relationships end-to-end and developed strong working relationships across the team. You will know our clients, understand what makes a great outcome, and have a clear, organized process for managing your book of accounts.
