Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern to support our Acquisitions team this summer. If you are currently pursuing an MBA or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field, and have a strong interest in data center development and institutional real estate investment, we want to hear from you! The Intern will play a critical role in supporting the Managing Director and VP of Acquisitions in sourcing, evaluating, and executing land acquisitions for data center developments and other investment opportunities. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This is an on-site role, Monday through Friday at our Headquarters McLean, VA.
Responsibilities
Support the team in building and updating financial models in Excel for prospective investments. Help gather and organize data for investment underwriting and project evaluation. Build and maintain complex, dynamic pro forma models and sensitivity analyses for project cash flows and returns. Evaluate investment performance under various capital structures. Support the due diligence process by organizing documents and reviewing third-party reports (e.g., environmental, market studies). Assist in preparing investment materials such as summaries, presentations, and reports. Maintain and update the investment pipeline and database of active and prospective deals. Collaborate with team members on special projects and ad hoc assignments.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing an MBA or Master’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field. Prior internship or coursework in real estate, investment analysis, or finance. Working knowledge of commercial real estate financial modeling. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong skills in PowerPoint and the broader Microsoft Office suite. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and organizational skills.
