KOLO 8 News Now is the ABC, CW, and Telemundo affiliate television station serving the Reno/Sparks area, Northern Nevada, and parts of eastern California. KOLO broadcasts seven hours of news weekdays. We are also dedicated to serving the community through KOLO Cares, partnering with area non‑profit organizations. Job Summary
KOLO 8 News Now has an opening for an experienced news producer. The newscast must be produced in an ethically sound manner while maintaining energy and creativity. The producer needs to have excellent writing skills and good news judgment. Responsibilities
Organize the rundown for the newscast. Write content for the newscast and arrange stories. Time the newscast. Contribute story ideas and pitches. Qualifications
Two or more years of newsroom experience; degree in journalism or another related field preferred. Experience with ENPS is a plus. EEO Statement
