Commissions: $10,000-$30,000+ per transaction
Responsibilities
Your primary duties as a Business Broker are fourfold based upon our service offerings:
Business Brokerage: build relationships with small business owners, help them prepare their business to be confidentially listed, manage the transaction process including buyer screening, offers, due diligence, and closing.
Business Valuation: assist owners in reviewing financials, cash flows, market conditions, record keeping, and other elements to provide a Broker’s Opinion of Value (BOV).
Franchise Consulting: help prospective franchise buyers find and purchase the right franchise based on wants, skills, financial ability, and earning expectations; partnerships with hundreds of Franchisors are available for consideration.
Franchise Development: assist high‑performing local businesses to grow by becoming a franchisor.
Secondary duties include building your network, marketing for new small business listings, and participating in management team meetings and strategy sessions. The firm promotes a team‑based approach and cooperative culture across the organization. You will operate as an entrepreneur, with the firm providing support functions to drive sales success (marketing, lead generation, administrative support, initial training, career development, technology platforms, and team‑based client support).
Qualifications
Experience with Business Ownership, Business Brokerage, Insurance Strategies, Finance, or Sales preferred.
Strong analytical and financial skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Networking and negotiation skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
An entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Main Street businesses
