Creative Director Floral Design
At The Maybourne Beverly Hills, flowers are more than dcor they are an essential part of the guest experience, creating moments of beauty, delight, and wonder. We are seeking a visionary Creative Director Floral Design to curate and lead our floral identity within the hotel and across Beverly Hills. This is a unique opportunity to shape the floral heartbeat of a landmark property. From the signature weekly arrangements in our lobby, to intimate in-room florals, to extraordinary weddings and events, your work will touch every corner of the hotel and every stage of our guests' journeys. You will lead a talented team of designers and artisans, ensuring that every creation embodies elegance, creativity, and the spirit of Beverly Hills luxury. Roles and Responsibilities
Job duties include, although are not limited to: Conceptualize and refresh weekly lobby and public area designs that define the hotel's atmosphere. Curate in-room floral amenities that surprise and delight guests, working seamlessly with housekeeping. Create bespoke floral designs for private dining, intimate celebrations, and exclusive experiences inside the hotel. Partner with event and wedding planners, as well as individual guests, to design, price, and deliver unforgettable florals for events of all sizes. Represent the floral studio in client consultations, guiding guests through design choices with creativity and warmth. Prepare visual presentations and costed proposals for event florals. Extend our reputation beyond the hotel by designing and installing florals for high-profile events and celebrations throughout Beverly Hills. Design and craft hand-tied bouquets and arrangements available for guests to purchase as thoughtful gifts or indulgent extras. Manage the on-site retail floral shop as part of the Florera Pacifico concept, overseeing daily operations, visual merchandising, sales performance, margin management, and customer service to ensure it reflects the artistry and elegance of the hotel. Curate seasonal collections and ensure the boutique delivers a seamless luxury shopping experience for both hotel guests and Beverly Hills visitors. Manage and develop relationships with growers, wholesalers and other floral suppliers. Accountability for pricing, margin and profit performance. Responsibility for hiring and training members of the team. Manage workflow and resources to balance hotel operations, bespoke guest requests, and complex event schedules. Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of floral designers, fostering innovation, excellence, and the highest standards of customer service. Maintain the highest standards of design, presentation, and service, consistent with Beverly Hills' luxury lifestyle. Maintain and evolve the visual identity of the brand across all touchpoints. Qualifications
A creative visionary with a refined eye for luxury floral design. Proven experience in high-end floral environments hospitality, events, or retail. A natural leader who brings out the best in creative teams. Highly polished, client-facing, and confident with VIP guests, wedding planners, and event partners. Thrives in a fast-paced, glamorous setting while delivering flawless execution. Trend forecasting and remaining current and fresh. 5+ years in floral design or creative direction in a related field Proven portfolio showcasing original floral work and creative projects across all aspects of the role. Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional taste, with an eye for color, proportion, and storytelling. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Comfortable balancing creative vision with practical execution and commercial skills. Physical Requirements
