Job Summary Develops data and analytics supporting growth and profitability in a region, or part of a region. Performs detailed analysis of product, pricing, and growth at a countrywide, regional, and state level. Supports and collaborates closely with field leadership and within Product Management in the development and implementation of state strategies through increased analysis, marketplace dynamics, competitive analysis, pricing segmentation, and line and segment level analysis with autonomy and limited supervision.

Essential Job Functions Performs data analysis that supports growth and profitability in a region, or part of a region. Requires detailed analysis of product, pricing, and growth at a countrywide, regional, and state level. Analysis includes marketplace dynamics, competitive analysis, pricing segmentation, and line and segment level analysis with support from manager. Collaborates with business partners, making recommendations towards desired business outcomes. Influences stakeholders and peers in the management of a countrywide line of business. Develops increasing understanding of interacting variables in marketplace execution. Completes and maintains competitive and marketplan analysis as needed by leadership and stakeholders. Provides recommendations using analysis and interpretation of rates, data, and trends. Creates and maintains a collaborative relationship with field partners who support local strategies. Trains, assimilates, and formally mentors new team members. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years insurance product experience required.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business Insurance preferred.

California-related product experience preferred.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Bachelors degree preferred in the area of business management, mathematics, management information, finance, actuarial science, economics or other analytics related field.

Proactively approaches responsibilities. Able to take limited conceptual direction and deliver high quality work on time. Possesses strong technical aptitude. Thorough Knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) required. SaaS, SQL abilities preferred.

Physical Actions Job is performed in-person at a Farmers office or virtually at an approved alternative work location. The physical work environment is indoors and climate-controlled with adequate lighting and ventilation. Normal and customary distractions include background noise produced by office equipment and chatter among people, as well as interruptions. Frequently sits for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift. Occasionally moves about the workplace including, navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces. Occasionally moves, pushes, pulls, lifts, carries, and/or places objects or materials weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary to perform job duties. Frequently performs fine motor tasks such as typing, mousing, or writing, up to a full shift. Rarely performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees. Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information. Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects. Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co‑workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace. Jobs in this category require rare, if any, travel.

California: $91,350 – $154,990

Colorado: $85,800 – $133,980

Massachusetts: $85,800 – $143,550

Maryland: $85,800 – $143,550

District of Columbia / New Jersey / New York / Ohio: $85,800 – $154,990

Albany County, NY / Cleveland, OH: $91,350 – $133,980

Washington: $85,800 – $163,125
