Essential Functions
Transfer credit evaluation and evaluation of nontraditional credit
Determine transfer courses acceptability and equivalency to Boise State University courses based on articulation agreements, grading and repeat policies, accreditation status, ACE Guide rules, and military and nontraditional credit policies.
Graduation evaluation
Determine graduation requirements, notify students of status, review waiver requests, and ensure integrity of the degree.
Creation and maintenance of transfer equivalency rules
Establish lower‑division transfer equivalency and update upper‑division rules in TES.
Technical assistance
Provide policy information on transfer, graduation, non‑traditional credits, and academic waivers to faculty, staff, and students.
Update graduation dates, catalog year, career numbers, and process files in Perceptive Content.
Responsibilities and Impacts
Set transfer equivalency rules for all lower‑division courses without department approval, requiring deep curriculum knowledge.
Ensure final review of degree progress reports to maintain degree integrity.
Authority from the Provost Office to determine transfer equivalency rules affects admissions and advising.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Understanding of supervisory practices and data management.
Experience conducting sensitive fact‑finding interviews and compiling data in report format using database and spreadsheet software.
Minimum Qualifications Experience monitoring record systems to identify and correct errors; interpreting, explaining, and applying laws, regulations, and complex policies for specialized programs; analyzing information and researching multiple sources to resolve problems; working with individuals from diverse backgrounds in stressful situations; entering and retrieving data using a computerized system; composing and proofreading business correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, and database management systems.
Prior work experience in higher education.
Salary and Benefits Base salary: $20.28/hr ($42,182.40). Boise State University provides a best‑in‑class benefits package including:

12‑24 annual paid vacation days for full‑time staff, based on position type and years of service.
