Description Our client is currently seeking a Senior Commercial Estimator to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities
Draft estimates for commercial construction projects for its entire lifecycle.
Estimation of pricing for equipment and labor.
Estimate project scope and requirements through analyzation of project related documents.
Ensure smooth quantity takeoffs.
Processing of project bids.
Work in conjunction with project leadership throughout pre-production.
Work to reduce costs as possible.
Oversee professional development junior estimators.
Ensure the estimation team understands best project practices.
Oversee and enter data into pricing databases.
Attend and participate in project meetings.
Remain updated on market conditions and prices of materials.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in commercial construction estimating.
Proven experience estimating projects valued at a minimum of $5M.
Strongly preferred that a candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
Advanced experience with building systems and commercial construction methods.
Advanced experience with estimation tools.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
