As the Director, Chief of Staff to an Enterprise Data product leader, you are a crucial strategic thought partner and execution leader, directly contributing to the success of the broader Enterprise Data Organization. This is a high‑impact position that demands a blend of executive strategy, expert communication, and operational excellence. You will be an essential member of the leadership team, responsible for translating the high‑level organizational vision into clear, focused, and purposeful ground‑level execution, ensuring the organization operates with speed and clarity.

In this role, you will design the workflows, cultural norms, and high‑impact routines that empower our teams to deliver successfully. By streamlining executive messaging, dismantling silos, and leading critical horizontal projects, you ensure our most vital resources are ruthlessly aligned with the strategic agenda.

Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic thought partner for leadership, guiding the organization’s operations and management.

Own the health and rhythm of the organization, ensuring team forums and routines run with discipline, clarity and continuity.

Understand the organization’s strategy and vision, lead leadership to drive and track goals and priorities.

Drive the communication strategy for the Tower/Leader, providing context to the team and key partners, and helping with building presentations and crafting messaging.

Assist the leadership team with strategic, financial and resource planning in collaboration with key partners, including Finance and HR.

Develop context and surface needs and risks across initiatives, partner relationships and organizational health before they escalate.

Lead high‑impact special projects critical to the organization’s priorities, emerging strategic intent or addressing key operational gaps.

Build relationships and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand processes and drive results.

Partner with people leadership to engage, empower and inspire associates.

Qualifications The Successful Candidate will be:

Able to build strong, trusted relationships and operate in an influential manner with executives to assist in driving the strategic agenda.

An experienced operator capable of decomposing a vision into goals and goals into execution plans.

A multi‑tasker, able to handle multiple priorities in parallel and extremely well organized.

Highly collaborative, comfortable partnering with all levels of the organization while working backwards from intended outcomes.

Experienced at identifying patterns and commonalities that create a bigger picture from small pieces, anticipating what’s around the corner.

Proven in practising discretion while handling highly sensitive issues.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or military experience.

At least 5 years of experience in staff management and training.

At least 5 years of experience in budget management.

At least 7 years of experience in organizational development and performance.

At least 7 years of experience in project or process management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Organizational Development.

At least 10 years of experience in project or process management, including managing visible projects that require interdisciplinary team leadership and influencing.

At least 8 years of experience in communications planning and development, including department communications, leadership team meetings, presentations, memos and reports.

At least 8 years of experience in staff management and training.

At least 10 years of experience in organizational development and performance.

The minimum and maximum full‑time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location:

McLean, VA: $230,400 – $263,000

New York, NY: $251,400 – $286,900

Richmond, VA: $209,500 – $239,100

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary offered to any candidate will be reflected solely in their offer letter.
