About the Position The Associate Executive Director is responsible for supporting the Executive Director in enhancing the overall Resident experience through exceptional leadership and operational execution. The Associate Executive Director assists in establishing and sustaining a culture of unparalleled service and long-term growth through daily operations management, team development, and performance oversight.

This role reports to and partners closely with the Executive Director to ensure alignment with Company standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophy, while modeling The Sterling Touch® in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner, resulting in a high level of Resident satisfaction.

Qualifications and Requirements The Associate Executive Director must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Bachelor’s Degree, required

Administrator or Administrator-In-Training License or Certification, strongly preferred.

Minimum of two (2) or more years of operational leadership experience, preferably in senior living, hospitality, or healthcare.

Experience supervising teams and supporting multi-department operations.

Experience in assisted living or senior living, preferred.

Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence, coach, and develop team members.

Working knowledge of community operations, including hospitality, healthcare, and senior living services.

Understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and operational performance metrics.

Special sensitivity to seniors’ health trends, quality of life concerns, and memory care topics.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating environment, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
