A company is looking for a Senior Underwriter (Excess).
Key Responsibilities
Review applications for excess insurance and evaluate risks to determine coverage acceptance or decline Approve or decline applications, issue coverage, and prepare referrals for risks exceeding authority limits Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain accurate documentation of underwriting files
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required Minimum 5 years of Excess underwriting or related insurance experience Experience underwriting risks in construction, hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing sectors Professional designations such as CPCU, CIC, or CRIS are a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software quickly
