About The Role
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for shaping the vision, execution, and continuous improvement of our core products, including ScotsmanGuide.com, LenderSearch.com, and our flagship print magazine. As Director of Product & Digital Experience, you will own the product vision and roadmap for Scotsman Guide's entire portfolio. You will lead our engineering and magazine production teams, partner closely with the CEO and VP of Marketing, and build a more integrated, user-focused product management discipline across the company.
What You'll Do
Product Strategy & Leadership
- Craft and execute a creative, integrated vision for the Scotsman Guide product ecosystem.
- Implement a data-driven, user-focused product management system to ensure continuous improvement aligned with company goals.
- Develop and manage short- and long-term product roadmaps, tracking design and development priorities.
- Collaborate with the CEO and VP of Marketing to research and develop new product opportunities.
- Ensure a unified brand aesthetic across all platforms, channels, and products.
- Establish ongoing feedback loops with advertisers, users, and staff to drive targeted product innovation.
Digital Product Ownership
- Develop a user-centered vision for our digital ecosystem to optimize cross-channel traffic, conversions, and revenue.
- Manage the full product lifecycle for ScotsmanGuide.com (news, digital magazine, rankings) and LenderSearch.com (direct lender marketplace).
- Lead user and advertiser research to identify and triage beneficial product updates.
- Provide end-to-end project management for updates, redesigns, and new feature launches.
- Coordinate internal engineering and design resources to deliver improvements on schedule.
- Direct LenderSearch.com user traffic strategy using a mix of SEO content, SEM, and marketing partnerships.
Magazine
- Work with the magazine production team to innovate magazine layout and design in alignment with company goals.
- Ensure the high-quality, timely production of our monthly magazine (print & digital).
- Streamline magazine production processes for maximum efficiency.
Team & Supervisory Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the engineering staff (2 persons) and print production team (2 persons).
- Identify, hire, and lead additional product team members (e.g., a UX Designer) to support digital growth.
- Continually assess department resources to meet business goals and budget constraints.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve workflow processes and efficiencies across the company.
- Play an integral role in shaping and maintaining company culture and values.
What You Bring
- 10+ years in product management with 5+ years of direct management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in design, engineering, or a related field.
- Design & UX: A strong visual design aesthetic and hands-on UX design skills.
- Deep understanding of product life cycle, SDLC, lean methodologies, and brand strategy.
- Experience with UX software such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with AWS products/infrastructure and WordPress.
- Proficiency in Office 365 (OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Bonus: Print media experience a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- $175,000-$185,000 base salary, plus 10% annual bonus (paid semi-annually)

Work Location: Bothell, WA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote after training period)
