
RCM Customer Service Representative

Eligibility
This is a remote position. At this time, we are only able to consider candidates who reside in states where we are currently registered as an employer, including Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Missouri.
Key Responsibilities
Return patient and payer calls promptly, ensuring timely follow-up on all inquiries. Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional tone, even when addressing difficult or complex billing concerns.
Quickly grasp billing concepts and workflows, even without prior billing experience. Demonstrate initiative in learning systems, terminology, and processes relevant to the revenue cycle.
Communicate clearly and confidently with patients about their bills. Remain calm and composed during challenging conversations, explaining information in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
Confidently discuss patient balances and collect payments with professionalism and empathy. Initiate payment conversations and be knowledgeable about options such as payment plans or financial assistance.
Qualifications
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Comfortable engaging with patients, team members, and external partners.
Problem‑Solving Skills: Uses critical thinking to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Remains calm under pressure and handles billing‑related challenges with confidence.
Teamwork Skills: Works well in a collaborative environment. Supports colleagues and contributes to a positive team dynamic.
Self‑Management Skills: Demonstrates reliability, time management, and accountability in day‑to‑day responsibilities. Takes initiative and manages workload with minimal supervision.
Basic Technical Comfort (Preferred, Not Required): Familiarity with computers, email, and basic software. Willingness to learn billing systems, EHR platforms, and internal tools as needed.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality
Comfort with Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Teams, and basic data entry.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
