Job Summary Sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. Maintains the overall environment of the department by providing assistance to members through product knowledge and customer service. Ensures that all produce meets or exceeds company quality standards.

Task execution: All items stocked and promotional plans executed; maintain visible accurate signage; keep the area clean and organized.
Assist with inventory and order processing as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as required.
Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
Direct Responsibilities in Produce
Provide assistance to members in the produce department, answering questions, recommending products, and offering safe handling tips.
Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery, ensuring all received produce meets company standards.
Rotate produce on the sales floor to ensure optimal freshness and variety; keep display areas neat and completely stocked.
Maintain the produce reserve stock area; date and rotate all back‑stock items; keep storage space organized and condensed daily.
Follow guidelines when disposing of damaged, spoiled, or expired products.
Clean and sanitize all produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas, including the cooler and refrigerated display cases.
Generate signage for produce goods and perform price check functions; ensure all items are accurately priced and signed.
Qualifications
Work experience in a produce department preferred.
Knowledge of fruit and vegetables, including seasonal items, preferred.
At least 18 years of age.
Environmental Job Conditions
Frequently moving on hard surfaces, bending, climbing, crawling, pulling, reaching, or stooping.
Frequently lifting objects up to 30 pounds; occasionally lifting items greater than 30 pounds with assistance.
Indoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes from freezers and coolers.
Compensation In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. The pay range for this position starts from $16.75. Actual salaries will vary depending on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
