The position will be at the Grandview Yard location (1000 Yard Street, Grandview Heights, OH 43212) and is 100% in-office. Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and may require working on certain holidays. Overview
Nationwide Financial is seeking an associate to join the Annuity & Life Distribution Team, which consists of 15 full‑time associates. The role involves assembling and mailing annuity contracts and life policies, managing workflow, and supporting various processes such as financial manual payments and follow‑up on delivery receipts. Key Responsibilities
Assemble both life policies and annuity contracts. Manage workflow and various functions to ensure timely processing, consistency, and quality in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Support the team with financial manual payments, AppLater process, and Delivery Receipt follow‑up. Process business requests according to government regulations, contract provisions, and internal procedures and controls. Provide outstanding quality customer service by demonstrating and understanding customer needs and emphasizing timely responses. Maintain current knowledge of contract and product provisions, administration of Nationwide products, processing systems, and related federal and state regulations. Integrate lean methodology into daily interactions through problem‑solving meetings and team huddles. Consult and interpret contract provisions for current and past products and assumed business for policyholders, agents/brokers and other operating units, routing inquiries as appropriate. Qualifications
High school studies; undergraduate studies desirable. One to three years of product‑related customer service experience preferred. General knowledge of office practices, customer service, information systems and insurance/financial services industry practices (e.g., annuities, mutual funds) preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic analytical and problem‑resolution skills. Proven ability to research, analyze and solve problems, leveraging existing processes and procedures. Proven decision‑making skills for customer contacts. Effective team‑building and collaboration skills. FINRA Series 6 license preferred and may be required based on assigned product/line‑of‑business or distribution system. Technical coursework such as LOMA, CLU, ChFC is desirable. Competencies
