About The Role The Golf Course Mechanic is responsible for ensuring all golf course maintenance equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and daily equipment preparation to support optimal course conditions and smooth department operations.
What You Will Do
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, and small‑engine equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance including reel grinding, blade sharpening, lubrication, and fluid changes.
Maintain cutting units to ensure accurate reel and bedknife adjustments.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues.
Track parts, supplies, and fuel and assist with inventory needs.
Keep accurate maintenance logs and service records.
Support operator training on safe equipment use.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop.
Respond to breakdowns and prepare equipment for daily operations.

What You Bring
Previous experience as a mechanic; golf or turf equipment experience preferred.
Knowledge of reels, hydraulics, engines, and electrical systems.
Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to read service manuals and schematics.
Computer proficiency for maintenance documentation.
