Customer Service Representative (Temporary) – Transit Operations
Pay:
$20.00 – $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (shifts vary 5–8 hours, ~38 hours/week, occasional overtime if desired)
Locations (Rotating):
Visalia (Call Center – primarily phone-based)
Must be able to travel between all locations. Schedule is set and consistent week-to-week.
Overview Bilingual Customer Service Representatives support transit operations through a mix of phone-based and in-person customer service. This is a temporary assignment (~3 months) with potential for extension or permanent placement.
What You’ll Do
Answer calls and schedule transit rides
Assist customers with questions and trip planning
Support seniors and non-tech-savvy riders
Use a simple booking system
Sell transit passes and handle transactions
Low to moderate call volume
Slower-paced with periods of downtime
Mix of team collaboration and independent work
Qualifications
Basic computer skills
Reliable transportation
Dependable and punctual
Preferred:
Customer service or call center experience
Experience working with the public or seniors
