Job Title Property Manager, Multifamily

Job Description Summary Property Managers are responsible for maintaining our communities to a market‑ready standard while ensuring a high level of service. They also motivate high‑performing teams to maximize property performance.

Essential Job Duties

Ensure the smooth operation of the community in a fast‑paced environment, overseeing all operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits.

Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction and increase renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease/renewal paperwork to company standards.

Track and evaluate advertising performance and client traffic.

Develop, mentor, lead, and manage a high‑performing, cohesive team—including leasing, customer service, maintenance, and management personnel—to maximize engagement and minimize turnover.

Drive revenues through thorough understanding and analysis of competition and development, and by creating innovative marketing programs.

Lead by example, instilling, maintaining, and modeling Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company.

Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the entire on‑site team, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed.

Maintain effective on‑site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching.

Maintain residents’ files in accordance with company standards.

Maintain a positive living environment for residents through prompt conflict resolution and consistent follow‑up.

Manage and maintain all aspects of the community budget and finances.

Work with leasing staff to ensure leasing/marketing goals are met.

Competencies

Effective communication and customer service skills.

Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.

General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication.

Identify leasing opportunities for staff and set performance goals.

Supervise day‑to‑day team operations, ensuring compliance with C&W policies and procedures.

Work with leasing staff to meet leasing/marketing goals.

Manage a team effectively.

Perform any other related duties as required.

Important Education

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Real Estate License preferred.

Important Experience

3+ years of Property Management experience.

3+ years of Management experience.

Work Environment This role operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Regular travel is required.

Physical Demands Employees may need to stand and walk for extended periods, ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and step stools, and travel between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. They must be able to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time. Travel may vary in frequency and duration. The employee may need to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds.

Benefits and Compensation Cushman & Wakefield offers eligible employees a variety of benefit programs including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time off. Competitive pay varies based on location, experience, and other factors; the base pay for this role is $89,250 - $105,000.
