
Channel Operations Manager

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Channel Operations Manager to take ownership of programs, processes, and enablement in support of our Channel Partner network. In partnership with our Distributor Account Mangers and Commercial Leadership, the Channel Operations Manager will establish the necessary infrastructure to drive revenue growth, expand global reach and improve the indirect customer experience. A key operation member and functional leader, the successful individual will work closely with other functional groups such as finance, logistics and marketing to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned to the plans and that the required resources are identified and allocated. The role will be responsible for a broad scope of Operational activities including but not limited to partner assessment and selection, certification, portal management, training coordination, marketing collateral, performance measurement, process automation and pipeline management best practices. Many of these responsibilities will require enhancement or net new creation, and the Channel Operations Manager will be looked to as a key leader to develop these.
Responsibilities:
Defining a distributor/channel partner profile, assessment criteria and process by which new channel partners are reviewed, onboarded and regularly measured
Creating and supporting in partnership with regional commercial leadership channel partner programs and resources for use by our distributors
Defining and maintaining our pricing strategy for distributors across regions and markets
Managing and administering Distributor agreements and contracts
Working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, support, legal, finance, and other stakeholders to regionalize and implement channel programs to ensure alignment across the business globally
Driving the enablement and skill development of our channel partner community
Managing the communication strategy, process, and tools focused on increasing distributor performance
Implementing and managing reporting tools to enable our Distributor Account Managers
Optimizing and streamlining global partner processes and procedures
Defining, implementing, and managing channel incentives and lead sharing programs
Advocating and driving the development, management, and evolution of our partner portal to create an engaging platform for partners to interact with Pacbio for information sharing, marketing collateral, training, sales incentives, opportunity management and lead sharing
Experience/Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Excellent track record and background in channel partner operations and management
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including, but not limited to Sales, Operations, Support, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Senior Leadership
Flexible and able to work in an ever changing and demanding environment
Excellent problem solving, organizational skills, oral/written and presentation skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to collaborate and communicate with senior managers and other influential stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Candidates must have current authorization to work in the United States without the need for present or future sponsorship.
Non-Field Based Employees are required to be onsite Monday-Thursday (Friday work from home). Depending on the role, some employees may be required to be 100% onsite.
You may be required from time to time to visit and work at PacBio locations and for such times as the Company considers necessary for the proper performance of your duties.
