Assistant Manager/Corporate Sales
Travel company seeking an assistant manager to join team in Torrance, CA. This role drives corporate sales strategy and achieves revenue quotas for Marketing & Sales. It is a full‑time, hybrid, exempt position with benefits and 401(k).
Responsibilities
Liaison to United counterpart managing corporate sales team and Joint Venture Strategy
Support Corporate Sales team on contract management including account development, sales leadership meetings, negotiation, and escalation processes
Oversee corporate sales team activity, review and provide feedback on sales activity, account performance, analysis, budget planning and execution, and advise on customer inquiries, negotiations, and contract management
Manage daily and weekly activity plans and execution for Field Sales Managers (FSMs) at Corporate Sales Group (CSG)
Manage sales measures such as Platinum status recommendations
Conduct one‑on‑one and team meetings for FSMs and the entire CSG team
Participate in management alignment meetings with VP/Managers and City Office (CTO) related meetings with General Manager/CTO‑Sales Admin staff
Manage CTO Support System by coordinating between CTO and members
Achieve assigned Corporate Sales Unit targets and route revenue goals
Coordinate the development of effective sales strategies, including pricing, sales promotions, and revenue management initiatives
Direct and manage the sales team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
Conversational Japanese language skills
Over 5 years in airline/travel industry
Strong corporate sales experience
Experience managing subordinates
Ability to travel once a month
