Position Overview
As a Dining Room Manager you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the dining room and for creating a pleasant, congenial atmosphere through proper supervision of wait staff, consideration of residents and guests, and ensuring the needs of the assisted living community are met. This position involves managing the wait staff and maintaining a high level of service quality.

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 12:00‑8:00 pm (may vary depending on events)
Hourly pay: $19‑21.00 DOE

Responsibilities
Uphold mission, philosophies and values
Coordinate, train and schedule wait staff
Interview and hire new wait staff, counsel and evaluate job performance
Maintain the dining room in a clean, orderly, and pleasant fashion
Supervise the nightly closing of dining room and kitchen
Supervise break down of dining room between meal periods
Ensure that the furniture, lighting, and furnishings are appropriate for the occasion
Supervise special food service events and functions
Record meal attendance and tally tickets
Work with residents and staff of the Memory Care Unit as assigned, including interaction with the demented population in a secured area
Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests following established policies and procedures
Assist Food Service Director with dining room labor and budgets
Promote Patriots Landing in a positive manner and effectively communicate the organization’s values to residents, visitors, co‑workers, and the community; encourage teamwork; support a positive and professional image through actions and dress
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year dining room experience
High school education or equivalent (preferred)
Ability to read, write and speak English with strong oral, written and telephone skills
Dependable and able to lift 20 pounds unassisted
Ability to work on feet for eight hours a day, five days a week
Knowledge of safe sanitation practices, safety practices and special diets
Certified in First Aid and CPR, and capable of meeting all requirements that may be specified by the state or other regulatory agencies
WA State Food Handlers permit (required)
