Responsibilities Key responsibilities include:

Develop and execute best in class packages, supporting and/or leading packaging development projects from development through qualification.

Create robust test plans and high quality trial reports.

Elevate any technical or project risks to manager and the multifunctional team, providing defined scope and backup options.

Create robust packaging specifications and develop all components meeting brand equity requirements (shape, color, decoration, etc.), manufacturing constraints (plant, co‑packer) and supply chain, project target cost and timeline, and Legal and Bacardi Quality Standards.

Ensure that suppliers can manufacture specifications/components to capable standards through effective sampling & production; lead and record all trials & testing and secure stakeholder approvals.

Own and communicate packaging Critical Path Schedule items for own part of the project.

Challenge suppliers to drive results and deliver proper component qualification.

Contribute to growing technical knowledge and innovation in packaging.

Collaborate closely with QA, manufacturing and procurement to find best solutions when issues arise and drive mold and packing line qualification.

Master test methods, ship test protocols and mold qualification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related technical field.

0–3 years experience in packaging development, R&D, business development, project management or related field in operations.

Willing to travel 25%–35% of the time.

Strong interest in packaging and experience working closely with a multifunctional team to design and develop for robust execution at best value.

Ability to quickly understand packaging/packaging materials/packing systems and create/manage specifications.

Capability to work seamlessly across functions and regions.

Ability to manage and influence pack component suppliers throughout each phase of the project.

Apply packaging development process and develop strong risk assessment for projects.

Good collaboration skills and basic project management knowledge.

3D CAD capability is a plus.
