Short Description DMAS Oracle ERP DBA 4
Location Requirements Must live within 2 hours drive of Richmond, VA. Probable remote work; must attend occasional on‑site meetings and special events.

About the Role Oracle Database & System Administrator to support the DMAS accounting system, Oracle EBS (GL, AP, AR), and 25 Oracle APEX applications. Responsibilities include quarterly security patching, system and database upgrades, problem resolution, deployments, and coordination with development teams. The role requires experience with Oracle APEX versions 21 and 24, Oracle E‑Business Suite R12 on Linux, and cloud migration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases and associated applications.
Administer Oracle APEX applications, including deployment of changes and workflow configurations.
Perform database job scheduling, EBS system administration, and performance tuning.
Respond to incident tickets and create Oracle Service Requests.
Document procedures and produce technical and non‑technical documentation.
Participate in night and weekend work as required for patch releases.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams across on‑prem, private cloud, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
Required Skills
Minimum 5 years experience in Oracle Application database administration version 19.
Minimum 5 years experience with Oracle APEX 21/24 with workflow.
Minimum 5 years experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite R12 on Linux.
Minimum 5 years experience with Oracle database upgrades and EBS system administration.
Strong background in Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with Oracle database maintenance, patching, job scheduling, and Unified Auditing.
Excellent SQL and PL/SQL scripting skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and produce clear documentation.
Experience with waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies.
Desired/Preferred Skills
Some experience designing Oracle solutions and software development.
Experience deploying changes to APEX applications.
Experience migrating Oracle EBS, APEX and databases from on‑prem private cloud appliance to cloud.
Unified Auditing (plus).
Background working in a healthcare environment.
