Overview
We are seeking a Merchandising Assistant, Women’s Apparel to join our Merchandising Department. This role supports and assists in the creation, implementation and execution of seasonal product strategies that meet the financial goals of the category while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing, and values-driven workplace. This position is primarily based in our Greenpoint, Brooklyn office and follows a hybrid schedule, dependent on role and business needs.
Responsibilities Essential Functions:
Support the Women’s Merchandising team in executing seasonal assortment strategies across key product categories
Assist with maintaining and updating line plans, assortment tools, and merchandising reports
Help track product information including style counts, colorways, pricing, and delivery timing
Support sample tracking and organization for line reviews and milestone meetings
Assist with data entry and updates within merchandising systems and PLM tools
Compile and prepare materials for line reviews, buy meetings, and cross-functional presentations
Additional Job Responsibilities:
Support analysis of selling performance, historical data, and seasonal trends
Assist with competitive and market research
Partner cross-functionally with Design, Planning, and Production teams to support timelines
Help maintain organized digital and physical merchandising files and samples
Perform other related duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally.
Must be able to access and navigate various department at the organization's facilities.
What We Are Looking For
0-2 years of experience in merchandising, buying, planning, or a related retail role
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Toolio system a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Interest in women’s apparel, retail trends, and product lifecycle management
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field preferred
