We offer a hybrid 3‑2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary Dominion Energy seeks an experienced attorney with a broad‑based real estate and transactional background, familiarity with property litigation, and the skills and demeanor necessary to quickly learn and support a wide variety of legal needs for Dominion Energy companies and business units. This position will support real estate development, construction, and operational activities associated with Dominion Energy’s regulated and unregulated projects. The role requires experience with drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, license agreements, easements, right‑of‑way agreements, and other real estate documents, as well as reviewing title and survey materials. It also requires expertise in general corporate and transactional legal matters to support the overall operations of Dominion Energy’s regulated utilities, and general familiarity with regulatory and other compliance requirements applicable to utilities. Work performed requires independent judgment and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

3+ years of relevant legal experience (Counsel)

5+ years of relevant legal experience (Senior Counsel)

Experience with, and knowledge of, state public utility laws, regulations, issues, and other legal matters related to the public utility and energy industry.

Detailed knowledge of strategic business values and objectives.

Broad understanding of laws and regulations, and a thorough understanding of one or more specific areas of law.

Solid grasp of defined specialty, plus good understanding of concepts, rules, and issues in major, related specialties. Good analyst, advocate, and presenter of legal points.

Mastery of the skills of the Counsel‑level position.

Requires little supervision.

Exhibits good people skills, basic business sense, and awareness of the industry. Independent judgment, initiative, and ability to work directly with clients.

Education Requirements Juris Doctorate (required degree).

Licenses, Certifications, or Qualifications Law License (for work location state).

Office work environment 76–100%

Travel up to 25%
