Description
We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft HCM Technical Consultant with deep expertise in the Person Model and related HR processes. This role will play a critical part in evaluating, enhancing, and implementing PeopleSoft HCM solutions, with a strong focus on Person Model adoption, system integrations, and payroll-related batch processing. The ideal candidate brings a combination of technical development skills, functional HR knowledge, and the ability to guide teams through complex system transformations.
What You Will Do Lead the assessment and implementation of the PeopleSoft Person Model, including Person of Interest (POI) and Hire/Rehire processes Evaluate current system configurations and recommend scalable, efficient implementation approaches Design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft solutions using PeopleTools (Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interface) Review, modify, and support COBOL programs tied to PeopleSoft HCM batch processes (payroll, benefits, HR data updates) Analyze existing COBOL jobs and ensure compatibility with Person Model enhancements Support and optimize PeopleSoft Payroll processes and related integrations Develop and maintain integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems (e.g., identity management, payroll vendors, benefits platforms, onboarding tools) Ensure data integrity through a strong understanding of HR data structures and effective dating logic Create comprehensive technical design documentation Provide training and guidance to technical teams on maintaining and supporting Person Model functionality

You can confidently assess complex PeopleSoft environments and recommend practical, forward-thinking solutions You have a strong balance of technical development skills and functional HR/payroll knowledge You are comfortable working with legacy systems (including COBOL) while modernizing architecture You can clearly document technical solutions and communicate them effectively to stakeholders You are able to mentor and upskill team members on PeopleSoft best practices and Person Model usage You thrive in environments requiring problem-solving, adaptability, and cross-functional collaboration

Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM, including Person Model, POI, Hire/Rehire processes, and Fluid UI Strong expertise in PeopleTools (Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interface) Proven experience supporting and enhancing PeopleSoft Payroll processes Experience working with and maintaining COBOL programs in a PeopleSoft environment Deep understanding of HR data structures and effective dating logic Experience integrating PeopleSoft with external systems (identity management, payroll, benefits, onboarding tools) Ability to evaluate existing systems and recommend implementation strategies Strong technical documentation and knowledge transfer skills Experience training or mentoring technical teams
