Job Title: Assistant Property Manager - Commercial Retail Properties
Position Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented
Assistant Property Manager with commercial retail property management experience
to support daily operations of retail properties. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with tenant relations, vendor coordination, financial reporting, and lease administration, and is proficient in
Yardi
or similar systems.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily operations of
commercial retail properties
alongside the Property Manager.
Maintain leases, tenant records, financial data, and maintenance documentation in Yardi.
Generate reports, prepare aging summaries, assist with rent collection, late fees, budgeting, and CAM estimates/reconciliations.
Serve as a primary contact for
retail tenants
, addressing inquiries, coordinating move-ins/outs, renewals, and amendments.
Coordinate vendors and contractors for maintenance, bids, work orders, invoices, and tenant billbacks.
Assist with lease administration, broker commissions, tenant sales reporting, and welcome packages.
Conduct routine property inspections and assist with safety, maintenance, and security follow-up.
Maintain organized records, issue tenant notices, track COIs, code invoices, and support reporting and compliance efforts.
Act as backup to the Property Manager during emergencies or inspections as needed.
Qualifications
2+ years of commercial property management experience, preferably in retail properties
Experience with retail tenants, CAMs, and tenant sales reporting
Proficiency in
Yardi
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail environment
