
Mechanical EIT/Coordinator

Responsibilities
Coordinate mechanical aspects of commercial or institutional projects
Perform routine mechanical engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
Write and edit mechanical specifications, and select mechanical systems and devices
Utilize engineering software to develop HVAC loads, energy analysis and mechanical equipment selections
Prepare construction documents for HVAC and plumbing design of buildings, including drawings, specifications and reports
Work independently on small projects, or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
Supervise work of Mechanical CAD Technicians, and coordinate design of assigned projects with architectural staff and other engineering disciplines
Take responsibility for construction contract administration requiring field inspections and conflict resolution
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with Mechanical emphasis
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
Healthcare, Science and Technology and/or Civic facilities experience
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
Required Qualifications
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Trane TRACE or similar software, and equipment selection software)
