Position Overview The Business Development Manager – CaseWorks is responsible for driving revenue growth by serving as the primary technical and sales resource for dealers and internal sales teams throughout the architectural project lifecycle. This role plays a critical part in pre-construction planning, project qualification, and bid development, while also building strong relationships with key influencers including architects, designers, contractors, and end users.
This individual combines deep technical expertise in architectural casework and millwork with strong business development and training capabilities to position CaseWorks as the preferred solution in commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Drive revenue growth and expand CaseWorks market share across the East Coast region
Serve as the primary point of contact for dealers and internal sales teams during project pre-qualification and bidding
Partner with dealers, architects, designers, and contractors to provide technical guidance during pre-construction phases
Identify and influence opportunities early in the design and specification process
Deliver consultative sales support, aligning customer requirements with manufacturing capabilities and pricing strategies
Conduct training for dealers and sales teams on:
Architectural bid processes and best practices
Drawing interpretation and requirements
Field verification and measurement
Installation processes and standards
Develop and execute targeted sales and technical training programs
Support project execution by troubleshooting construction, installation, and site‑related challenges
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Pricing, and Sales teams
Maintain strong knowledge of manufacturing capabilities and product applications
Manage multiple projects, bids, and timelines with a high degree of accuracy and organization
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Design, or related field
5+ years of experience in architectural millwork, casework, estimating, or project management (commercial laminate construction preferred)
Strong understanding of AWI standards, casework construction, joinery, and fabrication methods
Proficiency with CAD software and estimating tools (e.g., Excel, Bluebeam)
Ability to read and interpret complex architectural drawings and specifications
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to engage and influence clients, dealers, and project stakeholders
