
Field Event Marketing Manager

About the Role
Act Security is looking for an Event Manager to own the planning and execution of our events—from executive dinners and customer roundtables to industry conferences and trade shows. This is an operations‑first role: you'll be responsible for making sure every event runs smoothly, on time, and on budget. As an Event Manager, you will report to the CMO and work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and leadership to deliver events that strengthen relationships, drive business results, and position Act as a world‑class company.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute corporate events including executive dinners, conferences, trade shows, and customer programs
Own event logistics end‑to‑end: venue selection, vendor coordination, travel, AV, catering, signage, and on‑site setup
Manage event budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and track costs
Be present on‑site to oversee execution and handle real‑time problem‑solving
Coordinate with Marketing and Sales to align events with business objectives
Manage attendee registration, communications, and post‑event follow‑up
Track event ROI and report on key metrics (attendance, pipeline sourced, cost‑per‑attendee) to inform future event strategy
Requirements
3–5 years of experience independently managing corporate events end‑to‑end, including budget ownership (conferences, executive dinners, trade shows, or similar)
Background at a tech company—required
Strong project management skills—organized, deadline‑driven, able to manage multiple work streams
Experience with vendor negotiations and budget management
Big‑picture thinking—understanding how events ladder up to business goals
Resourcefulness and creative problem‑solving when plans change
Willingness to travel domestically and be on‑site for events
Based in the United States, EST timezone
Nice to have: Experience in cybersecurity or enterprise B2B software
Salary range: $120K–$160K
