Full-time Supervisory Financial Management Specialist
Location: 78 ABW/CPTS, Air Force Materiel Command, Robins AFB, Warner Robins, Georgia
Salary Range: $89,508 - $138,370 (annual, including locality)

Responsibilities
Exercise first-level supervisory and position‑management responsibilities over subordinate employees within the 78 CPTS, directing work activities, planning and scheduling, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, giving advice and counsel, and interviewing candidates for appointments.
Research, interpret, analyze, and apply financial‑management laws and regulations; coordinate plans and schedules with other managers and customers; identify and implement changes in priorities as needed.
Represent the organization with installation and functional‑area organizations; establish working relationships, meet with key customers, provide guidance and training, and resolve problems.
Participate in special projects and initiatives; identify needs, initiate milestones, and promote change‑management activities supporting AFMC strategic goals.
Serve as technical expert on financial projects; chair working groups to resolve major financial problems; recommend procedural changes to streamline financial management.
Qualifications
Obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Financial Management Certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
Comprehensive knowledge of OMB, Congressional, and agency financial‑management and program objectives, budget precedents and controls guidelines and regulations.
Knowledge of commonly used agency budget, automated financial systems, performance‑metric procedures, regulations, precedents, policies, and guides.
Knowledge of personnel safety, security, and management, EEO regulations, procedures, practices, and Merit System principles.
Ability to conduct studies, analyze data, develop alternative options/strategies, and make recommendations to resolve budget/manpower issues.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise staff of an organizational unit.
Ability to utilize AoP concepts and principles to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
Employment Terms
Employees selected may be required to serve a 1‑year probationary period or a 2‑year trial period; employment will be terminated unless certification that continued employment advances the public interest is received after completion.
