We’re representing a well-established General Contractor based in Virginia Beach that’s continuing to grow across a diverse portfolio of projects. With a strong pipeline of work spanning commercial builds, retail developments, shopping centres, and restaurant projects, they are now looking to bring on an experienced Superintendent to join their team.
The Role As Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll play a key role in coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, and maintaining strong communication between all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day site operations from ground-up through to completion
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site personnel
Maintain and drive project schedules to meet deadlines
Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety regulations and company standards
Conduct site meetings and provide regular progress updates
Uphold quality control across all phases of construction
What They’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Superintendent within commercial construction
Background delivering projects in retail, shopping centres, or restaurant builds preferred
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple trades and fast-paced project timelines
Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and safety standards
