
Pricing Analyst

The LTL Pricing Analyst at AFS Logistics is responsible for supporting the development and execution of data-driven pricing strategies across the LTL portfolio. This role plays a critical part in optimizing client transportation spend, enhancing carrier rate competitiveness, and supporting AFS’s managed transportation and freight audit & payment solutions. The analyst will leverage industry knowledge, analytics, and internal tools to deliver accurate, strategic pricing for both new and existing client opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze carrier rate agreements, tariffs, and client-specific pricing to ensure accuracy and alignment with AFS optimization strategies
Develop and maintain pricing models to support client implementations, RFPs, and ongoing optimization initiatives
Partner with Sales, Client Solutions, and Operations teams to deliver competitive and profitable pricing strategies
Support LTL RFP processes, including bid analysis, scenario modeling, and carrier comparisons
Evaluate carrier performance, cost structures, and accessorial trends to identify savings opportunities for clients
Assist in onboarding new clients by validating and configuring LTL pricing within AFS systems
Monitor and maintain pricing integrity across TMS and audit platforms
Identify discrepancies in billing vs. contracted rates and support resolution through audit processes
Produce reporting and insights on pricing performance, cost savings, and margin improvement opportunities
Stay informed on LTL market trends, NMFC classifications, and carrier-specific pricing behaviors
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance, or related field
2–5 years of experience in LTL pricing, transportation analytics, freight audit, or managed transportation
Working knowledge of LTL rating structures, NMFC classifications, and accessorial charges
Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, modeling, pivot tables, lookup functions)
Experience with TMS, audit & payment systems, or pricing tools preferred
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with LTL carrier pricing strategies and contract negotiation support
Exposure to data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Attention to detail and data accuracy
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
