
Lab Processing Specialist

Department: HRH Lab
Work Schedule: Full Time, 32.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Evenings
Pay: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour, depending on relevant experience. Position is onsite only.
Summary Performs technical and clerical functions in one or more sections of the laboratory.
Responsibilities
Assist with receiving, identifying, accessing, processing and transporting specimens, and other tasks requiring critical thinking. Handle problems, including documentation and resolution.
Communicate test results to appropriate healthcare providers.
Act as mentor in a specific area of expertise, maintain equipment and adequate supplies, and keep the work area safe, aseptic, and organized.
Perform duties in accordance with regulations and procedures, and contribute to new procedures.
Perform clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, filing, charge entry, and/or invoice reconciliation as applicable.
Work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment, using critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and appropriate action.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred: 1 year in a healthcare environment.
