Commensurate with education and experience Responsibilities
The Specialist is responsible for developing and managing internal and external communications, including digital content, print materials, and promotional campaigns that highlight the accomplishments of Honors students, faculty, and programs. In addition, the position will play a key role in supporting assessment and reporting by collecting, organizing, and presenting data related to student outcomes, program effectiveness, and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong collaboration with the Associate Dean of Academics, the National Scholarships and Fellowships Coordinator, and university partners to ensure consistent messaging, support recruitment and retention, and contribute to a dynamic and well-rounded academic environment. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, public affairs, media, journalism, English, or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution. Three (3) years of experience in communications, public relations, or publicity work. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Master’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field. Three or more years of experience in higher education or public sector communications. Strong writing and editing skills for various formats, including press releases, reports, and digital content. Experience with content management systems, social media, and digital marketing tools. Familiarity with assessment reporting or data visualization in an academic setting. Proven ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple projects. Required License Or Certification
