Pricing Analyst – Huntington, NY
You will be the strategic link between our sales goals and our operational execution. You won’t just manage data; you will empower our Sales, Bid, and Finance teams by formulating high-impact pricing responses that help us win in the K-12 marketplace. In this pivotal role, you will analyze market trends and field requests to recommend pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability. Whether you are maintaining complex contract price books or consulting on high-stakes bid strategy, your analytical insights will directly influence Teq’s ability to deliver cutting-edge technology to schools across the country.
Responsibilities
Competitive Analysis:
Create detailed workup analyses for competitive pricing opportunities to suggest optimal market positioning.
Trend Forecasting:
Closely study and present historical sales and quote data to identify trends and inform future pricing strategies.
Bid Strategy:
Lead the preparation of complex bid requests, consulting with stakeholders to make data‑driven recommendations on margin levels and sales strategy.
Sales Enablement:
Act as a subject matter expert, training the Teq salesforce on pricing processes and systems to ensure field efficiency.
Database Stewardship:
Maintain the absolute accuracy of price books, price lists, and internal databases.
Contract Maintenance:
Proactively manage current bids and contracts to ensure all pricing remains accurate and up to date.
Process Optimization:
Support the implementation of new pricing systems and guidelines to ensure the business achieves price realization and sales goals.
Qualifications (What You’ll Bring)
2–3 years of professional experience, specifically in financial analysis, pricing, quoting, or bid management.
Analytical mindset: Independent critical thinking and creative problem‑solving skills with a high comfort level in data analysis.
Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel). SAP knowledge is a plus.
Highly detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and high‑volume requests simultaneously.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with Finance and Sales departments.
