Job Description
U.S. Bank’s Alternative Investment Services Allocations department calculates client fund and investor-level NAV daily, monthly and quarterly. In this role, the Investor Allocations Team Member maintains official books and records of the funds administered in accordance with their offering documents, including preparation of investor statements. Responsibilities also include allocation of income/loss through various levels of the fund structure, calculation of management, incentive and carried interest fees, and interpretation of legal documents translated into Microsoft Excel formulas. Team members prepare capital calls, distribution and rebalancing computations, and prepare notices sent to investors. The team collaborates with operations and investor relations to finalize allocations and liaises with auditors and financial reporting teams during the fund’s fiscal year-end, servicing hedge and private‑equity funds. A basic understanding of USBFS’ Alternative Investment business, its core services and ancillary products is expected. Professional communication and a motivated self‑starter attitude are required. Excel is used daily.
Responsibilities
Maintain official books and records of funds administered in accordance with offering documents, including preparation of investor statements.
Allocate income/loss through various levels of the fund structure and calculate management, incentive and carried interest fees.
Interpret legal documents and translate them into Microsoft Excel formulas.
Prepare capital calls, distributions and rebalancing computations, and prepare investor notices.
Collaborate with operations, investor relations, auditors and financial reporting teams throughout the fiscal year.
Service hedge‑fund and private‑equity accounts.
Understand the policies and procedures of the AI department and the information flow through AI systems.
Use various AI system tools specific to the job function.
Communicate information carefully to manage client relationships.
Active listening to obtain information and understand client needs.
Provide written correspondence that is clear, professional and grammatically correct.
Use Excel on a daily basis.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a business‑related field.
Five or more years of experience in the alternative investments industry.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Capable of demonstrating detail‑oriented acumen.
Ability to identify and resolve or escalates complex problems with minimal guidance.
Ability to manage multiple tasks or projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Location and Work Arrangement This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
