Role Description WVII/WFVX Bangor is seeking a News Anchor for a full-time, on-site role in Bangor, ME. The News Anchor will be responsible for presenting daily news broadcasts with accuracy, professionalism, and audience engagement. Responsibilities include researching and reporting current events, writing scripts for broadcasts, collaborating with the production team, and delivering live reports or breaking news. This role requires a strong on-camera presence and the ability to effectively communicate complex news stories in an accessible manner. Qualifications Proficiency in Reporting and Broadcast Journalism Strong skills in News Writing and Presenting Experienced in Broadcasting with a clear and authoritative on-camera presence Excellent verbal communication and storytelling abilities Ability to work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced news environment Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred Familiarity with the Bangor, Maine community is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr
