Account Executive – Medical Sales - Diagnostics
Territory-Based in Greater Albany, NY

This role is ideal for a driven sales professional who thrives in a consultative environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes through innovative testing solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Own and grow a defined territory, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals
- Expand and deepen relationships within existing hospital and health system accounts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across targeted clinical segments
- Deliver strategic, value-based presentations to physicians, clinicians, and healthcare stakeholders
- Build and execute a comprehensive territory business plan to drive growth
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (clinical, product, market access) to close opportunities
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs
- Leverage internal resources to deliver tailored clinical and business solutions
- Analyze territory data to identify growth opportunities and optimize performance
- Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and industry events
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of medical sales experience (any specialty considered)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments
- Experience calling on hospitals, health systems, or clinical stakeholders is a plus
- Ability to communicate clinical or technical information effectively
- Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and standard business software
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience in diagnostics, genomics, or laboratory services
- Exposure to pediatric, hospital, or specialty clinical environments
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (Challenger, SPIN, etc.)
