Order Entry Representative
The Order Entry Representative is responsible for accurately processing customer orders, supporting customer service inquiries, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Entered new orders and change orders accurately, printed order documentation, and distributed orders to production and shipping departments. Provided professional customer support via phone and email, assisting with quotes, lead times, order status, and tracking number requests. Answered sales and customer service calls, responding to questions related to pricing, lead times, shipping issues, and order discrepancies. Served as a liaison between customers and manufacturing, engineering, and shipping teams to resolve order-related issues. Managed backorders by communicating updated lead times to customers and maintaining weekly backorder reports. Generated correspondence to obtain additional customer information needed to resolve disputes or discrepancies. Maintained detailed and accurate files and documentation for customer orders and transactions. Operated inventory control systems, word processing software, and spreadsheet applications to support order management and reporting. Assisted with maintaining and monitoring electronic customer data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Required Skills & Abilities
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to respond promptly and professionally to customer needs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interpret and generate business correspondence. Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and resolve them efficiently. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage competing demands. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and productivity standards. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while remaining dependable and accountable for individual responsibilities. Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, adaptability, and integrity in all interactions. Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate rates, ratios, percentages, and work with decimals.
Job Details:
Contract to Hire 100% onsite Pay $20- $24 an hour depending on experience
