Entry Writer / Import Operations Coordinator

to support air and ocean import operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced international logistics environment and has strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and import documentation experience. A leading Japanese logistics company is seeking an experienced Entry Writer (Air & Ocean) to support import customs brokerage and logistics operations. Key Responsibilities Customs Declaration / Compliance Prepare and submit all necessary shipping information and customs declaration documents to the appropriate government agencies for timely cargo clearance Ensure customs declarations are completed accurately and in accordance with regulations Support timely customs processing requests from internal sales departments Customer Quotations Research and provide quotations for current and prospective customers Logistics Coordination Follow import department procedures and support daily logistics operations Communicate effectively with shippers, trucking companies, airlines, and customers Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules with carriers and customers Track freight and provide shipment status updates to customers Troubleshoot logistics issues and resolve operational matters in a timely manner Communicate with the head office regarding shipments, contracts, and related matters as needed Perform other logistics-related tasks as assigned Data Entry / Billing Support Enter shipment and contract information into the company database accurately Support billing, payment processing, and freight charge verification Collect and verify freight charges and resolve discrepancies prior to vendor payment Assist with invoicing for air, ocean, and trucking files Internal Communication / Compliance Participate in meetings and report issues to management as needed Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and confidentiality requirements Support process improvements and other departmental initiatives as appropriate Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in import operations, freight forwarding, or customs documentation High school diploma or GED required Strong communication and coordination skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional, flexible, and able to respond effectively to multiple work demands Preferred Customs Brokerage License is a plus, but not required
