Hiring for Construction Superintendent

Role Overview This is a traveling Construction Superintendent role responsible for leading large-scale commercial/industrial construction projects from start to finish—planning, execution, coordination, and delivery. You’d act as the on-site leader managing craft teams, subcontractors, schedules, safety, and budgets across multiple disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, etc.).

Location & Travel Based anywhere in the U.S. 70%+ travel required to project sites Long-term, project-to-project assignment model

Core Responsibilities You would be expected to: 1. Project Execution Plan construction methods, manpower, materials, equipment Ensure work follows drawings, specs, and schedule 2. Field Leadership Supervise multiple trade groups (electricians, carpenters, boilermakers, etc.) Coordinate subcontractors and resolve on-site issues Maintain strong communication with unions and crews 3. Scheduling & Controls Track progress, adjust schedules, manage delays Support cost control and project reporting 4. Safety & Compliance Enforce safety programs and corrective actions Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards 5. Stakeholder Communication Coordinate with clients, executives, vendors, and internal teams 6. Risk & Problem Solving Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies Handle fast-changing field conditions

Must-Have Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 8+ years supervisory experience in commercial/industrial construction Experience with $15M+ projects Valid U.S. driver’s license + valid passport Willingness to travel extensively (70%+)
