Job Overview Coordinate and facilitate the band program for grades 6‑8, collaborating with the high school band director and other district music educators to develop marching and concert bands, manage instruments and equipment, schedule performances, and coordinate music transportation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Stay informed of developments in music education and communicate relevant information to students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
Collaborate with district music educators in planning and executing school concerts and performances.
Consult with music equipment suppliers regarding the condition of instruments and sheet music, and arrange necessary repairs and maintenance.
Provide support for the high school band program.
Work Schedule 190 contract days plus supplemental days.
Certification and Experience Applicants must hold a valid South Carolina teaching certification in Music Education – Instrumental.
