AutoCAD Drafter
Full time (40 hours/week)
Location: Lynbrook, NY
Job Responsibilities: -
Create and modify detailed design drafts using AutoCAD, applying standardized methods for diverse construction environments. -
Perform design calculations using established procedures. -
Apply knowledge of construction equipment, field operations, and design codes to develop construction operation plans. -
Accurately interpret project documents, drawings, and field notes. -
Review shop drawings and product submittals for compliance with engineering documents. -
Manage time and workload to meet project deadlines, collaborating closely with project leaders. -
Potentially interact with clients or their representatives alongside the project manager to define project requirements. -
Conduct field tasks, including precise measurements and site condition assessments. -
Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff.
Requirements: -
Up to 5 years experience -
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential -
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in architecture, Engineering, or a related STEM field is preferred. -
Experience with site visits and field measurements is highly desirable -
Ability to accurately translate field measurements into detailed drawings -
Understanding of construction field operations is an advantage. -
Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Bluebeam. -
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients. -
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. -
Ability to work independently and collaboratively -
Willingness to perform occasional site visits and fieldwork. -
Willingness to work full-time in our Lynbrook, NY office.
Salary Range: $62,000- $72,000 -
