Job Title: Benefits Specialist, Health & Wellness

Compensation: $35- $45/per hour

Long Term Contract (1+ year)

Job Description We are seeking a Benefits Specialist, Health & Wellness to support the administration of employee health and welfare benefit programs within a large, complex healthcare environment. This role is responsible for ensuring benefit plans are accurately administered, reconciled, and maintained in accordance with plan documents, contracts, and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting both employees and internal stakeholders while partnering closely with external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of benefit services.

Key Responsibilities

Administer health and wellness benefit plans in compliance with plan documents and carrier contracts

Reconcile and process vendor invoices on a weekly and monthly basis

Monitor benefit-related expense and revenue cash flows and support reporting accuracy

Audit enrollment and eligibility files to ensure data integrity

Partner with HRIS teams and external vendors to ensure accurate and timely data transmission

Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and third-party benefit providers

Support employees with benefit education, enrollment, eligibility, and claims-related questions

Assist with escalations from internal service centers and help resolve benefit issues

Support benefit orientation, enrollment sessions, and communications materials

Maintain accurate records related to plan participation, contributions, and reporting

Qualifications

Experience in employee benefits administration, HR operations, or a related field

Strong understanding of health and welfare benefit programs

Experience working with HRIS systems and/or benefits vendors preferred

Strong analytical skills with experience in reconciliation or invoice review

Excellent communication and customer service skills

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners

High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
