
Massage Therapist, Part-Time

Location: Naples Beach Club, Four Seasons Resort, Naples, Florida.
What You Will Do
Provides a professional and relaxed service to all guests, with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, while keeping guests informed of the treatment process and offers information to guests about other services offered in the spa.
Retrieves, prepares and monitors all treatment linens.
Practices and follows all Board of Cosmetology requirements including all sanitation and hygiene standards and complies with local legislation as required.
Keeps all areas neat and clean including the staff lounge, the preparation room and the treatment rooms and cleans treatment rooms after treatments. Sets up, utilizes or operates and cleans all equipment in the treatment rooms. Prepares the treatment room with the necessary supplies, sets up and breakdown treatment area as well as turning on and off the lights.
Plays singing crystal bowls to start and end each treatment following a training provided by the hotel.
Utilizes, knows and markets all retail products for guests using the provided prescription cards after each treatment and understands that active selling of retail items is part of this job description.
Performs all massages and body treatments on the spa menu including Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage, wraps, scrubs, dry body brushing, aromatherapy, reflexology, hot stone/warm crystal massages, scalp massage and other treatments.
Provides services in guest rooms as well as on massage chairs during events.
Extends job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned.
Redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
Assists spa reception and spa attendants (e.g., deliveries to guest room, retrieving, stocking folding linen in locker rooms, fitness or pool area, preparing beverages for guests, preparing guest amenities for locker rooms, etc.).
Performs other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
Advises guests of all areas of the spa and how to use each facility and the equipment.
Utilizes the appointment book in Book4Time and retrieves their appointments.
Communicates to the lead therapist (or spa management in his/her absence) to prepare requisition sheets for supplies.
Handles any guest inconvenience or complaint swiftly, with a smile and to the satisfaction of the guest, informing management of the situation and how to resolve it.
Works harmoniously and professionally with co‑workers and supervisors and maintains good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments through The Golden Rule.
Ensures safety procedures are followed and notifies Security of any hazards, accidents or injuries.
Abides by all policies, procedures and protocols within the Spa Training Manual and complies with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
Participates actively in meetings and trainings provided by the spa management or vendors in regards to treatment protocols, product knowledge and sales techniques.
Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform/attire, maintains a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adheres to the hotel and department personal appearance standards.
Non‑essential Functions
Operates the audio visual equipment and lighting system.
Assists the spa reception by escorting guests to the appropriate locker room and providing an orientation of the area and amenities if required.
Plays singing crystal bowls to enhance guest experience in public areas following a training provided by the hotel.
What You Bring
Current Florida license as massage therapist by the State Board of Massage Therapy.
At least two years’ experience in upscale operation of a four or five‑diamond spa hotel.
Qualified to perform Swedish and Deep Tissue massage; prior knowledge/training of specialized massage techniques and body treatments preferred.
Ability to remain calm and organized in a busy environment.
Bi‑lingual abilities desirable.
Knowledge of Book4Time or other computerized spa scheduling system preferred.
Strong communication skills.
A strong sense of organization and ability to prioritize in a busy environment.
Preferred previous hotel and computer knowledge.
Flexible schedule, ability to work weekends and holidays. Must possess legal work authorization in the United States.
