Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a talented, customer service oriented and dedicated
Server Assistant
to join our fast-paced, full-service Restaurant and In-room Dining team.
Responsibilities The Server Assistant is responsible primarily for assisting the Server in serving the guest. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position with continual customer contact. Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment (service station setups, stock replenishment, equipment organization and cleaning).
Wage Starting wage: $21.57 per hour. After 6 months: $25.17 per hour. After 1 year: $28.76 per hour.

Must have a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
Previous customer service experience required
Previous food and beverage experience is an asset
Must have Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certificate
Must be available to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
Must be available to work the breakfast, lunch, or dinner shifts depending on business needs
Must be an excellent team player and able to work with a diverse group of individuals and guests
Must be able to engage customers in a professional conversation at all times
Must be able to prioritize
Must be excellent in multi-tasking
Must have refined verbal communication skills
Visa Requirements Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
