Server Assistant (Part-Time)
Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a talented, customer‑service oriented and dedicated Server Assistant (Part-Time) to join our fast‑paced, full‑service Restaurant and In‑room Dining team.
Responsibilities
Assist the server in serving guests.
Communicate clearly and efficiently while lifting, pulling, and pushing moderate weight.
Perform general restaurant preparation and maintain a sanitary environment (service station setup, stock replenishment, equipment organization, cleaning).
Manage continual customer contact in a fast‑paced environment.
Candidate must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation
Starting wage: $21.57 per hour; after 6 months: $25.17 per hour; after 1 year: $28.76 per hour.
Qualifications
Desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment.
Previous customer‑service experience required.
Previous food and beverage experience is an asset.
Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certificates.
Availability for varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, and for breakfast, lunch, or dinner shifts as business needs dictate.
Excellent team player able to work with a diverse group of guests and colleagues.
Professional communication skills and ability to engage customers at all times.
Strong prioritization and multi‑tasking ability.
Refined verbal communication skills.
Visa Requirements
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
